There is one subject everyone is talking about right now, obviously. Personally, I want nothing to do with Meta, but there are a few things to consider in this debate:

• ActivityPub is an open protocol that anyone can and may use, like it or not. That's the nature of open protocols.
• Many people have good reasons to be worried, based on earlier experiences.
• With or without Meta you are free to block whoever you want.
• Mastodon is not the only software in the Fediverse.
• ActivityPub is not the only protocol in the Fediverse.

Yesterday, users of mstdn.social instance lost their connections to artists at mastodon.art instance ( src: https://framapiaf.org/@Curator@mastodon.art/110570978375947500 ). I hope giving visibility to this issue will help them to restore the broken bridges.
